Ok so I have been doing a little of both cooking and baking. More cooking to be healthy and got inspired by some dinner's at my sister and brother-in-law house. Delicious food, by the way!!! So I baked a pumpkin pie in November for thanksgiving. I made a week or so ago a dish including: gnocchi, sage, asparagus, mushrooms, artichokes in a roasted pepper cream sauce. It was delicious and healthy. (above picture)







Today I made a mushroom risotto with steamed asparagus, red bell pepper, potatoes and fried chicken with an Italian seasoning. Topped with cheese. It was sooooo tasty today. Esp with the cold weather coming in. I found this all tasted good and not heavy and healthy to eat. I am open to other suggestions and recipes :) Might bake later too :)

Inner Sicilian



Last night early morning made some cannolis for my brother out of request. I realized after trying to fry the first one that ok this is why people buy premade shells, haha not easy but tasted good. :)

Baking something you dont know is fun! I know right sounds weird but its true. I find there is always something that I havent tried to fix or invent recipe wise. Its fun sometimes it doesnt work and that is ok just have to change the recipe a litte to get it right. So I made last month. Glutenfree/veganish lemon bars for my sister and made these special cupcakes that my other sister requested. Both recipes were interesting and need work.

Instead of Baking today Cooking, ya I said it


Today I decided to make a somewhat healthy lunch.

Pasta with mushrooms, red and yellow peppers, spinach, marinated artichokes, mustard seeds, a little salt, and a sage butter sauce.

It's delicious and slightly healthy too. Inspired by a pasta dish made by my sister.
